About Rocksta MjonaseRocksta Mjonase has been involved in music industry since 1995, he has been a vocalist and rapper for a Johannesburg based group called Third rim. Music has been the key in his life, since the breakout of the group he has concentrated more in music production and at the same time being a DJ which again been his teenage ambition. Growing up has been a musical journey for him, as a teenager rap, new jack swing, soul and r&b has been his greatest inspiration for him on the other hand reggae has played part in his development, but nothing caught his attention more that club music Speed garage, House and UK garage. Johannesburg shaped him in the early 1990's when house was hot since then, "you can not ignore good music" he often say House music honestly consists of all different kinds of genres, you can get African, soul, latin r&b, hip hop you name it even rock that's why i love it, it's easy to manipulate. He has done gospel with the likes of Winnie Kibula everything is possible with house music. Currently releasing an EP called River dance the drum is African and it kicks big time should be out mid May 2010, and the full album should be expected mid November 2010 so there is more to come keep checking http://mjonase.com for more information.
